Dear Members & Guests,
As we close out 2025 and prepare for 2026, we’re proud to celebrate a year filled with achievements and fantastic feedback—despite the challenges Mother Nature threw our way!
Our Christmas parties and functions have been a huge success, with glowing reviews from members and guests. The clubhouse has been buzzing with energy, delivering exceptional dining experiences that made this festive season our best yet.
Our restaurant team, led by Tina Kelly, has taken the bistro to new heights, with wedding and function bookings for 2026 are already strong.
On the course, the major greens renovations have been a triumph, the course looks fantastic, and 2026 will be the year we truly level up Grafton District Golf Club.
Daniel and the Greens Team have done an outstanding job under difficult conditions early in 2025 and the grass is growing so quickly they are already back cutting the greens after major renovations just last week.
Looking Ahead into 2026
We plan to break soil in March 2026 on a cost-effective, fully automated irrigation system. Daniel and I with the Board are finalising planning and costings in January to present to the Board for the green light. Volunteers will be essential to completing this project on budget and ensuring the club remains financially strong.
Matt Dougherty and I are also finalising a new Strategic Plan to guide the club into the next decade, focusing on new facilities, additional income streams, and maximising use of our clubhouse and course. We aim to present this plan to members in early 2026.
So, on behalf of myself, the Board, and our staff, we wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Here’s to a brighter, drier, and exciting 2026!
Warm regards,
Michael Kinahan
Club Manager
